Who we are

Lost Art of Growing is operated by Lost Leaf Consulting, LLC, doing business as Lost Art of Growing, based in Michigan, USA. The site is www.lostartofgrowing.com. For privacy questions or requests, email lostleafmi@gmail.com.

What this site does

Lost Art of Growing is a paid service for growers who mix hydroponic nutrients. Paid Grower Access includes the Nutrient Replication Calculator and the Feeding Scheduler. You create an account, pay for access, and can save formulations, feeding schedules, and feeding regimens to your account.

Information we collect

Account

Sign-in and sign-up are handled by Clerk. We receive the account information you provide there — typically your email address, and a name if you add one — plus session data so you stay signed in. Clerk also stores the paid-access flags we write after a successful purchase (for example, whether Grower Access is active and when it expires).

Saved calculator and scheduler data

When you use the tools while signed in, we store the formulations, feeding schedules, and feeding regimens you save so you can come back to them. That data lives in our database (Supabase), keyed to your account.

Billing

We keep records needed to provide and manage access: which plan and billing interval you bought (monthly, yearly, or single month), whether a subscription is active or canceled, access end dates, and references from the payment processor. Card payments go through Authorize.net. PayPal payments go through PayPal. Card numbers are entered on Authorize.net's hosted form and do not touch our servers.

Affiliate shopping clicks

If you are signed in and use our Custom Hydro shopping links, we log that click (your account, the product, the destination URL, and the time) so we can operate the affiliate-shopper discount. A click by itself does not grant a discount. See Pricing and the Terms of Service for how that discount works.

Technical and hosting data

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel processes request data (such as IP address, user agent, and the pages you load) to serve the site and keep it running. This site does not include a separate product analytics SDK (for example Vercel Analytics) and does not run a marketing email list on this domain.

How we use this information

We use the information above to:

• Create and maintain your account and keep you signed in
• Process payments and grant, renew, or end Grower Access
• Save and show your calculator and scheduler data
• Apply the Custom Hydro affiliate discount when a purchase qualifies
• Respond to support and privacy requests
• Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use this domain to build or send a marketing email newsletter.

Cookies and similar technology

We and our processors use cookies or similar technology for:

• Clerk — session and authentication so you can stay signed in
• Authorize.net and PayPal — completing checkout and (for monthly and yearly) managing a subscription
• Vercel — hosting and delivering the site
• Short-lived checkout cookies — matching you back to a PayPal checkout you started, then cleared when that flow finishes

These are needed to run accounts and payments. This site does not show a cookie consent banner.

Who we share information with

We share information with the companies that actually run parts of the service, only as needed for that job:

• Clerk — accounts and sign-in
• Supabase — stored formulations, schedules, regimens, billing records, retention records, and affiliate click logs
• Authorize.net — card payments and card subscriptions
• PayPal — PayPal checkout and PayPal subscriptions
• Vercel — hosting
• Custom Hydro — if you follow an affiliate link, you leave our site and shop on theirs; their privacy practices apply there

We may also share information if we are required to by law, or to protect the service or someone's safety.

How long we keep data

Account and billing records are kept while your account exists and as long as we need them to provide access, handle cancellations, and keep accurate books.

Saved formulations, feeding schedules, and feeding regimens are kept while you have access. After a single-month period ends, that saved data is deleted 30 days later unless you start a subscription or buy another month before then. If paid access ends another way (for example a subscription that is not renewed) and you do not buy access again, we may delete the same saved data 30 days after access ends.

You can email us to ask what we have or to request deletion of your account data. Some payment and billing records may need to be kept for legal or accounting reasons even after an account is closed.

Your choices and requests

You can update account details through the account menu when you are signed in. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold, email lostleafmi@gmail.com. We will need enough information to confirm it is your account.

If you are in a place with additional privacy rights (for example CCPA in California or GDPR if you are in the EEA/UK), you can use that same email to make those requests. We do not sell personal information.

Children

This site is for growers managing nutrient mixes. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy in a material way, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Continued use of the site after that date means you are using the service under the updated policy.
